I found these hoverflies in July 2021 on different Italian mountains (Lombardy region, Northern Italy), in particular:
A) Sasso Malascarpa (CO, altitude: 1200 m a.s.l.);
B) Corni di Canzo (LC, altitude: 1300 m a.s.l.);
C) Grigna Meridionale (LC, altitude: 1700 m a.s.l.);
D) Piani di Artavaggio (LC, altitude: 1600 m a.s.l.);
E) Monte Cavallo (BG, altitude: 2000 m a.s.l.).
Could they be Eupoedes luniger? Unfortunately, the pictures are not very good.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi, Eupeodes seems to be correct, but luniger cannot be confirmed from your images.
