An interesting fly, which I could only photograph from this angle.

Probably Stegana (Steganina) sp

Yes, probably a Stegana. I've recently photographed a Steganopsis in east China (Zhejiang), which is similar to but also subtly different from the specimen in your picture.

Not sure about yours. Yours could be a Lauxaniid. The antennnae are quite large.

There is no discrepancy. The specimen from Debrecen is Stegana hypoleuca (a drosophilid) and the one from China is Steganopsis sp. (a lauxaniid).
