Picture taken a couple of days ago in east China (Zhejiang province). I initially thought this hump-backed fly (3mm) was a Hybos but I've just now noticed that the hind legs are not conspicuously more well developed than the mid and fore legs like a typical Hybos should be. So is it still a Hybos or something in another genus? Many thanks in advance!

I think I've just found a good candidate - Bicellaris spec. My specimen seems to bear a close resemblance to the Bicellaris nigra picture I found at Wikipedia (https://en.wikipe...52086).jpg)

Rhamphomyia seems to be another good candiate. Found this similar-looking iNat picture: https://www.inatu...os/1637874
