Picture taken in May, east China (Zhejiang province). The head and thorax are similar to those of a Sepedon, but the antennae seem curious. Sciomyzidae or something in another family? Thanks in advance.

According to the catalog the only species of Teratomyzidae in the region are in Teratomyza, known from Fujian, Taiwan, and Kyushu. The catalog does not show any with similar antennae and the revision of Oriental Teratomyzidae (Papp, 2011, Zootaxa 2916) is not open access.

Thank you, John Carr, for the further probe in the ID problem. After Dmitry Ided the picture, I did a Google search using keyword Teratomyzidae and came up with the page (https://imomushiu...zidae.html), which contains pictures of Japanese Teratomyzidae that look like the one in my picture.

The Japanese Teratomyzidae picture found at this page (http://diptera.jp...p;num=4458) also seems similar athough the antenna looks somewhat different.
