Locality: Bern, Switzerland, near dead pig (experiment). Thanks for any closer ID.
2 weird looking freshly emerged flies. They dont look like the classic necrophagous fauna...

Thanks John, but I dont think they are Lucilias. None of them. Necrophagous Calliphoridae I can ID, but these two are... weird.

I just noticed the orange hairs at the bottom of the head, so maybe
Calliphora instead.

Yes, I think the first could actually be C. vomitoria. But the second one... I have no idea :P

First one definitely vomitoria.
Second one, I think you are misled. I don’t see why it can’t be a Calliphora. Calypter seems dark.

Thanks Theo. I think you are right. But the second one has white calypters, which would mean its subalpina. Its possible, I have 2 other adults from there, but no caterpillar and this one is clearly a freshly emerged specimen.
