Hi,
Here is a Sarcophagidae I found in my house, Israel.
I thought to collect and check the genitalia but it looks like female, right?

Is it possible to get ID by photo only?

I'm more of a 'microfly' man, but this looks like a female
Sarcophaga (Bercaea) africa to go with the male you caught earlier.

WEll, Sarcs are all very similar.
It might as well be Ravinia striata (or perdix, whatever it is called nowadays). Is it possible to get a headshot from above and slightly from front ? Or is this bird gone ?

It looks somewhat diffrent than my last male Sarcophaga africa, it could be just sex differences but I don't know.
Venation looks a bit different especially that sharp curve on the M vain.
Theo, Here is the head photo. I did set it loose after finding it's a female but took some photos for the record :)

Ok, so it's not Ravinia.
Implying it is some Sarcophaga s.l.
