Hello,

I photographed this fly in the Sirente-Velino National Park (AQ), Italy, 2000m a.s.l. on August 29th 2021. I think it is a Tachinidae, but is it possible to identify its genus or species just from this photo?

Thank you in advance,
Emanuele

Saluti Emanuele, again a very interesting and distinct Tachinidae from Italy! It made me curious and the one I've found by habitus, wing venation and antenna and location is Periscepsia cf. handlirschi. But of course I'm not sure and still curious!

Thank you both very much! It does indeed look very similar to that species, I wish I could have taken more photos.
