I would stay at the (sub-) generic determination, If it is a large fly (some 5 to 6 mm), then it should be S mehadiae, but it seems me to belong to the cluster of smaller species.

Thank you for the quick response Jan!
Maybe Helge can give some additional info on the measurements.

Thank you very much Jan & Jan!

I found a second specimen preserved in alcohol, same spot, same time.

Both flies are about 5 mm (see additional photos).

I just looked up the key of Bächli & Burla 1985 and it keys out Steganina (?) nigrithorax. S. mehadiae is not listed for Switzerland; but I do not know if it could occour in Austria. What do you think?

Good job! Wide gena and numerous lines of acrostichals, as well as the size of flies, show that it is S. mehadiae. I had seen two flies of this species in the old collection of Museum Vienna, with locality only "Austria"
(quoted also by Baechli, G., 1988: Die Drosophiliden-Arten (Diptera) in der Sammlung des Naturhistorischen Museums Wien. Annln naturh. Mus. Wien 90b:131-148).
No other records from Austria, as far as I know.
