A small, 5-6mm, fly sitting on a Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare) flower head and periodically scurrying away down the plant stem or underneath a leaf to hide away from me.
On side of a dirt road, lined with Crataegus, between a field full of Jacobaea vulgaris on the one side and Cirsium vulgare on the other, both of which have mainly gone to seed.
