Caught with insect net in lush scrub 1000 masl. Body length 3.7 mm. Dovre, Norway 24 July. Ornithomya fringillina?

Would be my first guess. Without seeing microtrichia on wing, difficult to exclude chloropus for sure.

Morten - Yes I agree with O. chloropus - but these Norwegian pics show differences from the specimens I have caught in the last few weeks which have a shiny polished black thoracic disc, scutellum and frons. Perhaps we should swap specimens and do a comparison .... Iain .
