Looks like a species of
Rachispoda . If so, possible to tell from a photo...or? Found on the shore of a loch in Shetland this month...

I agree. When I look at
Rachispoda under a microscope I strain to make out the inclinate bristles.

Gee thanx Tony and John, some well deserved praise ~ long overdue... :D ;) So it is actually
Rachispoda. A new genus of Sphaeroceridae for my checklist here. Now all I need is a species name :)
