These melanistic Ectophasia are very tricky indeed. Many e. crassipennis can be as black as shiwn here. I would not dare to make the call based on these pictures.

Thank you for your expert opinion. I didn't know melanistic one could exist.
Is it possible tell the species by the picture below (the same ones as above, but larger), or the key characters can not be seen on them?
