Hello,

Couls this female be Melanogaster nuda ?

I don't see any long hairs on the thorax, but I also don't see any in photos of female Melaogaster aerosa so I cannot use this criterion with my pictures. I feel like we see a dark stripe on the wings in the side picture, could that help?

Hello Jessica, difficult to identify only with some pictures. In your case I think you are right, but the identification still remains uncertain, because the species of this genus (especially the females, but also the males) are not easy to separate.
M. nuda is very common and widespread, M. parumplicata is rare (at least in the locations I know).
