Another view.

Interestingly there is a moss which is called Solieria pacifica. Quite rare that two species have the same name.

The same name is allowed if it is in a different kingdom, I think :) (eg. genus Pieris)

Yes there are examples for that. Oenanthe is a bird and a plant. But having the same generic name and species name is somewhat stange.
