This is a very large fly. Body length is 1.5 cm long.

Pity we can’t see the proboscis and I am not an expert in the Oriental rgion, but Bengalia crossed my mind as well.

It seems to be the female of Bengalia torosa, well characterized by the concave hind margin of the eye in lateral view.
