Right, I don't know anything for shure and I'm no expert.
But M. van Veen whrites that:
- in flight it can be confused with Dasysyrphus tricinctus
and it is not D.t.
- tergites 2 and 4 with distinct yellow bands. If other tergites with yellow bands -> var. tricinctum

So, if these fine lines are bands, yours is Chrysotoxum bicinctum var. tricinctum (I think)
