Yes, you are right. It is apparently more confusing, say, in Morocco and Spain.
Concerning C. behen: it is even more confusing, because it is infested by at least three different Terellia: sp. nr. virens in Israel, freidbergi in NW Iran and, as you say, cf. colon in Turkey. I do not know by far, which molecular method and gene(s) could be sensitive enough for colon-luteola populations. Turkey may be a centrre of Centaurea diversity, but the recent studies of associated tephritids were absolutely inadequate. On the other hand, foreigners with nets are criminals in Turkey, so hardly we shall have an ansewer soon...
