The pictures of this beautiful fly were taken late august 2008 at Monte Galineiro (Pontevedra) Spain at 400 mts. Open pasture with Erica and Ullex. Horses in the vicinity.
Size about 18 mm the species seemed to be frequent as I observed several specimens in the area.
