Hi,

a few days ago, I took some pictures of a medium sized fly on a leaf in our garden. It has some red/orange markings that made me curious. I think it could be a Sarcophagidae (Sarcophaga sp.), but the red markings and the "furry collar" generate some doubts. Is that really a Sarcophagidae?

Germany, Southern Bavaria, Munich (-West), leaf in garden, 191.05.2024, app. 8-10 mm (I don't really remember the size, but that should be ok, more or less)

Greetings, Uli
