Hello,
I found this fly with a red spot on frons sitting head-down on a big mushroom (Coprinus comatus). It flew away and disappeared after the first picture. One and half an hour later I went back, found a fly on the same mushroom and took some more pictures. It was exactly the same fly, as can be seen by comparing the small injuries of wings.
Is it a Mycophaga testaea?
Thanks, Marion
