Hello,

while collecting some coleoptera at the banks of the Rhine near Neuss (nrw, germany), I got this small fly as a bycatch. Body length ist about 1,5 mm, length with wings about 2 mm.

I don't even have an idea about the family - Agromyzidae perhaps?

Thanks
Michael

Thank you for the answer. When I look in the gallery, there are many rather similar species. Is there a key to the genera somewhere in the internet?

Michael

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
