Hi,
I would like to get feedback to this observation, from early May in Vienna. Could it be Onesia or Bellardia?:

Cheers, Lorin

All requests are from the urban area of Vienna, if not otherwise stated.

My Diptera observations (and other living forms) can be found here, and corrections or comments over there would also be appreciated.

Hi Lorin,

it is Bellardia: 1+2 ia and infuscated calypter. looks like discals are present too, so B. viarum male.

Best wishes,
John

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
