Enclosed a picture of a Dryomyzidae taken in the Forêt de Soignes/Zoniënwoud near Brussel on 12 October 2019
I believe this is Dryope decrepita, but would appreciate if experts could confirm.

Best regards
Frank

Hi Frank,

Its in the Sciomyzoidea, but not a Dryomyzidae but a Sciomyzidae.
Genus Pherbellia or something like that.

Kind regards,

Ectemnius

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
