Berlin - August 2017 heathland

Hello everyone,

I found this walking around on what could be tanaceti? but i can't seem to place it at a species level. I may be making a fool out of myself but the wing looks similar to Tephritis dioscurea. Could this be correct? or is it simply T. tanaceti? really need some help with this one.

Thank you very much,
John

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
