Berlin - July 2019 - 2.8mm male? Hello everyone, I just finished my night work and i found this odd diptera attracted to light at my balcony. I don't know where to place it (which family). The antennae are not fitting. I've thought of Platypezidae and Pipinculidae but nothing looks like it. I could use some help. Thank you very much and i hope that everyone has a pleasant night/morning. ps: cropped from original image so size is as big as it gets with my 1:1 macro + extension tubes. johnes81 attached the following image: [30.15Kb] Edited by johnes81 on 29-07-2019 12:07 John and Nini. Thank you, Jan. I assume that genitalia is required for a positive id or will i need to use a dna test? John and Nini. Naturalists not experts. |
