Hi,

I have photographed this fly which I think belongs to the genus Empis near Paris.
The flower is a daisy.
Any idea of what species it could be?

Probably but I cannot rule out Rhamphomyia with certainty: the wing venation is not discenrnable and neither is the total length of the proboscis.
