Is it possible to identify the species of this Micropezidae? I would suppose that it belongs to the genus Neria. I found the fly end of may in an alder forest in the Harz mountains (Germany, Saxony-Anhalt, Schierke) appr. 500 m asl. One wing is deformed. Neria sp. is about as close as you are likely to get with any degree of certainty. Jindřich Roháček in Micropezidae (Diptera) of Czechoslovakia illustrates the female terminalia of the genus, N.cibaria has a kinked shape. |
