So, the legs are very yellow, eye is bare and antenna is long. I am thinking Ocytata pallipes, the variety with full wing venation. Theo |

I never knew there were two forms of wing venation - I have another record from 5 days later and a few hundred metres distant. I have a fuller set of photos - this fly also has the same venation. Thanks, Theo. Much appreciated. James |

Most specimens lack the apical crossvein, and hence are very easy to identify. Theo |
