Hi,
found this female on a muddy puddle besides a forest road near Vienna in March. Is it possible to ID?

All requests are from the urban area of Vienna, if not otherwise stated.

My Diptera observations (and other living forms) can be found here, and corrections or comments over there would also be appreciated.

Thanks Igor!
I would like to know if there is a key for this genus and is it possible to ID female Campsicnemus or only males? Thanks!
Cheers, Lorin

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
