Hello. Happy New Year everyone !
I found this specimen on a wall of the house.
Antennae, wing shape and hairiness are different in Clogmia albipunctus.
The kind that seems closer to me is Pneumia but I have no criteria to support this direction. Feuerborniella would also be a track but ...
Your opinion is welcome.
Thank you.

Merci.

Psychodidae are so nice -and so difficult to identify without a collected specimen and a microscope... (compare https://diptera.i...d_id=29784) You are right, this is not Clogmia albipunctata. Help can only come from Gunnar M. Kvifte or Phil Withers, but the former has not been seen in the forum for quite a long time. Maybe you could send them a private message or an e-mail.
Regards, Sundew

Merci Sundew.

Thank you Sundew.
The reading of the proposed subject shows the difficulty with these Psychodidae...
I sent an MP to Gunnar M. Kvifte proposing at the same time to send him the specimen.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
