Hello,

With dusting of the thorax that continues towards the back as a densely dusted fair central longitudinal line up to the
tip of the scutellum, and thorax before the scutellum not with 3 spots of dusting, is it a male of Gymnosoma dolycoridis ?
Belgium, Malmedy,16-08-2018

Thanks
Christine

That, or clavatum. Despite your good efforts, the correct angle is lacking

Thanks Theo,

I have other pictures of this male. Maybe some could help.
What angle do you need?

As the latest one, but slightly more from above.

Or a perfect stacked lateral pic of its genitalia, of course SmileSmile

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
