Hello friends

Is there any chance at all that this is not Cerodontha rozkosnyi? It's from my malaise trap near Copenhagen mid May 2018. I got this one male and a female to match.
Cerodontha spp. are numerous in the trap but it's the first time I've seen an Icteromyza. Cerodontha rozkosnyi would be new to the Danish (and Scandinavian?) fauna I suppose. Can it be confirmed?

All the best.

OK, Cerodontha (Icteromyza) rozkosnyi, and new species to the Danish fauna.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
