Hello, On October 18, 2018 in the south of France on ivy. A small Sepsidae whose femurs and tibias do not have the same characteristics as Sepsis thoracica that I previously illustrated. The modified fore femur in family Sepsidae is usually a male secondary sexual character. You have a female. |

All I can say it is not Sepsis punctum because that species has only one pair of dorsocentral bristles and your fly has two. The pattern of white on the side of the thorax is sometimes helpful to distinguish females. The tube is the ovipositor. |
