Hello,

www.galerie-insecte.org/galerie/image/dos215/big/5ds34146.jpg
Pierre Duhem : France : Bessans : 73480 : 04/08/2018
Altitude : 1745 m - Taille : 5-6 mm
Réf. : 215885

Using the key by Reemer, I had concluded that it was O. trilineata.
But somebody argued that it was O. locuples. On our French forum, we have a picture from the Pyrénées. Both photos in DI gallery are from Tyrol. On the other hand, the knees of my specimen are blackish.

Can somebody say something about this?
Thanks in advance.
Pierre Duhem

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
