hairy eyes, rusty color on the scutellum, long bristles on the legs, long face and strong upright bristles on the abdomen point to Tachinidae despite the bluish color. Ask Theo for an opinion. Perhaps it could be Pales pavida. change the title and wait for Theo's opinion. John and Nini. Naturalists not experts. |

I do not have any similar specimens, so i can only guess. I think that Pales pavida should have orange color on the tibiae, which is not obvious in the photos. Thus, it may be something different. Theo may be busy but try to bump the thread when he is active.
