Hi,

what did I catch here in my garden in Vienna? I do not think this belongs to Drosophildae and there are few other families with plumose antennae. Is an ID based on these images possible?

Cheers,
Lorin

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol
