Hi all,

we found a solitary bee, about 12-15 mm in length. Can anyone help us with ID?

Germany, Lower Saxony, Oldenburg, app. 30 m above sea level, 2018-06-12, on a meadow (photo: Thomas Brand, studio)

Thank you
Thomas

I think this is a pale colored male of Dasypoda altercator (= D. hirtipes)

Greetings,

Henrik

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
