The species is clearly not Bombyliinae, Exoprosopini or Villini. I do not know why you think that it isn't Anthrax. Furthermore, i think that the closest match is Anthrax aethiops. I'm simply asking you why you would not agree. I think that it is Anthrax aethiops. Obviously, without a specimen we will have to say Anthrax cf aethiops. However, i cannot imagine a better match.
