Hello, everyone. I've managed to photo this fly that sat on my finger. I think this is Fannia canicularis, but I'm not sure. I compared it to pictures in the Internet and bristles on legs of my fly seem much longer and thicker than you usually see on Fannia. Central Russia (Moscow oblast), May 20. Woah, didn't expect such a drastic twist. Probably because I usually observe rather large Sarcophaga species around my place, I wouldn't think about this small petite fly being Sarcophagidae as well... |
