Male - 6.3mm - Berlin - May 2018 I am new to this family and this is my first attempt at keying a Dolicho. I am using Grichanov's keys. I arrived at D. ungulatus too easily, thus i suspect that i may not have read the keys correctly. Thank you for your time. johnes81 attached the following image: [61.1Kb] Edited by johnes81 on 27-05-2018 16:18 John and Nini. Naturalists not experts. |

Dolichopus ungulatus. It is large, common, and easy to identify. |

Thank You, John. I am always a bit diffident when using keys for the first time. I easily arrived at D. ungulatus, so i figure that i made an error. I think that i've seen this before but i didn't photograph it. Dolicho are so pretty. I appreciate your time and expertise, John. Thank you. I will be posting soon about a few that i cannot place in a family, so maybe you can help... John and Nini. Naturalists not experts. |
