Hello Gert, the female fly is not Helina evecta. The abdomen doesn't match, the anterior spiracle is too dark and it sits too high. H. evecta sits low to a surface like a Pollenia. The anterior spiracle of H. evecta is golden yellow. I think that Muscidae is correct and i think that it might be Helina. I have not seen something like this before, so i cannot help with a species. John and Nini. Naturalists not experts. |
