Hi. 10. march 2018 I found this fly in a nemoral deciduous forest, in the southwest of Norway - Gjesdal, Rogaland. It was just a few degrees and the fly came up from the moss - did not fly at all. I took some pictures and it jumped back in the moss. I tried a forum in Norway and got the suggestion tkat it could be H.atricornis. Then I found a link in a thread at Diptera.info to a key that show facial drawings of male Heteromyca. Last page... http://www.zoboda...1-0166.pdf Comparing my picture I think that it looks more like Heteromyca commixta.
