Hello everyone,

at the 27th of july (2017) at the top of Mont Ventoux, France (1912 m.), I've seen this fly. Someone suggested it may be a male Ectophasia crassipennis, but told me I could better ask it here... so can anyone confirm this or tell me what species this is if it isn't E. crassipennis?

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
