Hello,

Another specimen from the trap on Amager not far from Copenhagen.
When using Spencer (1976) I key this one out without much ado to either A. mobilis or nigrociliata, but that is evidently wrong ... The fly has a reduced pre-sutural dc, 3. antennal segment black, costa to R4+5 and dark squamal fringe. But I don't find any resemblance in the genitalia to the two species. And I don't know ... isn't the aedeagal apodeme missing? I'm almost sure I'm not to blame Wink

The picture shows the genitalia in lateral (top) and ventral (bottom) view. What species might it be?

Collected from malaise trap 20. - 24. June 2017.

Agromyza sp., genitalia are dilacerated and very bad photo, also visual angle of both pictures is bad.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
