Chrysopilus spec. (Rhagionidae).

We are working on a review of the Rhagionidae. It would be really reaaly great if you could collect in Greece !

Thanks

Thank you for the id. I would love to help but for the time being I just take photos. Are there any instructions for collecting diptera?

I am not sure what you are asking.
Practically: you need a net, a jar, killing agent (for insrance ethylacetate) and insect pins.
Or vials and high quality alkohol.
If you need help, send me a PM.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
