If indeed photographed on 3 november, it could be Lasiomma. The most common one is L. seminitidum and still active in late autum....even during the winter. Just keep it as a possible Lasiomma species Johanna |

Thanks, Johanna. However, the photo was made 11th of March... |

Hmmm…..when I see your date on Waarneming.be, then this does not match the actual date of photographing this fly?. If so…..then the input is scientifically not correct. When we than search for the occurrence of certain types of flies in the database, we get some strange results ……in my humble opinion. Johanna Edited by javanerkelens on 10-12-2017 23:01 |

This is terribly confusing! My observation is from the 11th of March this year. On Waarnemingen.be the date seems to be always written in the ISO 8601 standard date format "YYYY-MM-DD", so it should be 2017-03-11. And "2017-03-11" is exactly what I see on the website; screenshot attached. What is it that "does not match" ? I don't see it !? Thanks! My mistake.....I read it as YYYY-DD-MM instead of YYYY-MM-DD Johanna Edited by javanerkelens on 11-12-2017 18:00 |
