Hello, this 4,5 fly is from last august from near Schlaneid (ca. 1150m) in Südtirol (Alto Adige, Italia). I guess it's a tachinid. Is this correct? Is anything more possible? Thanks, Michael Michael Becker attached the following image: [97.81Kb] Edited by Michael Becker on 24-08-2017 08:25 |

Second guess: Rhinophoridae: Trichogena rubricosa male. This Rhinophorid is most often taken for a Tachinid, you are not the first ! Theo |

Thank you for the quick answer. Is the correct name Trichogena or Tricogena (as in the Fauna europaea)? Michael Edited by Michael Becker on 24-08-2017 08:33 |
