Hi all, Could anyone help with the identification of this fly? I found it inside my gecko's vivarium, it has most likely hatched out from some leaf litter I collect from a local woodland (Swansea, UK). It's 7mm long and has a shiny green thorax with a yellow abdomen. I've had a look through some general guides and think it might be a species of Micropezidae, but it's antennae look much longer than any photos I've found. Thanks for any help! Thanks to a comment that's now no longer visible(?), I'm now thinking that Stratiomyidae and Beris vallata due to the half orange, half black tibiae |
