You can actually see 3 pulvilli on the middle leg. And since it clearly is not a Strat, a Tabanid, or a Rhagionid for that matter, Acroceridae should be totally OK. The nearctic ones are very very different from the palearctic ones , so no worries it looks totally different. Theo |

Eulonchus tristis or possibly halli according to the key by Borkent et al. in ZooKeys 619 (http://zookeys.pe...hp?id=8249). There may also be undescribed species in the area. |
