Hello all,

About 5-6 mm long, in a garden in the suburbs of Paris... Considering the acrostichal setulae and the black spots on the abdomen, could it be Sapromyza (Sapromyzosoma) quadripunctata ?

She died a long time ago, but my interest remains… could it be Sapromyza (Sapromyzosoma) quadripunctata ?

Could be quadricincta or laevatrispina. S. quadripunctata has only two rows of acrostichals.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
